SkillsUSA Georgia Postsecondary participated in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference on June 19-23, 2023 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Students from across the country competed in a variety of competition areas to showcase their skills. Business and industry professionals served as judges who selected the best in each contest. Georgia continued to excel nationally and is the #5 state in the country for medals with a grand total of 68 medals!

The 2023 national results are as follows for Technical College System of Georgia students competing in technology related contests:

National Gold Medalists: Cyber Security – Justin Clenny & Dalton Flanders, Ogeechee Technical College; T-Shirt Design – Jacob Golding, Augusta Technical College.

National Silver Medalists: 3D Visualization and Animation – Victor Castro-Garibay & Subhadra Gupta, Georgia Piedmont Technical College; Graphic Communications – Dennis Nelson, Augusta Technical College; Graphics Imaging Sublimation – Nalexis Rowan, Augusta Technical College; Screen Printing Technology – Justin McClellan, Augusta Technical College; Television (Video) Production – Lore Carer & Dalton Kleman, Savannah Technical College; Web Design and Development – Eric Nims & Elizabeth Sheba, Gwinnett Technical College.

National Bronze Medalists: Interactive Application and Video Game Development – Tatiana Conger & Hunter Wooten, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College; Technical Computer Applications – Anh Do, Gwinnett Technical College.
